The D fin is the Rolls-Royce in traditional longboard fins, large base with a big body. These fins are not always easy to surf, but when you're standing on top of one there is no other feeling like it. Most boards drift and lose speed as you nose ride or flow down the line. The D fin locks in and gives you incredible life and hold which translates into longer nose rides and deep pocket surfing.

The main goal was to create a fin that can be ridden longer, with a larger base for drive and nose riding without creating a stiff and locked in feel, and we have definitely done this. This Upright Hatchet might look wild, but is incredibly functional. The wide base and body of the fin holds you deep in the pocket, and creates lift through nose rides, while the non-existent rake of the fin allows it to break free into hard turns, and allows you to turn on a tighter radius with its upright-shaped design.
