Floating flowers ring

Imagine a peaceful pond at sunset, reflecting the pink of the sky with some floating flowers reflecting the golden hour glow. This is what I see when I look at this ring.

Cast solid 9ct yellow gold and then hand set with natural pink sapphires.
I mark out and drill where the gems are to go. Then I burr out holes for the sapphires to sit in. I rub the gold over the edge of the gems to hold them in place. Then I engrave the details in. This is where the magic happens, the details are what makes this ring come to life and adds some refined style to the ring. I use a handheld, hand push graver, which requires years to master. It’s very easy to slip off the metal and either break the stone, or put a gouge in the metal. And once the metal is taken away, it can’t be put back.
