Teal sapphire and solid gold drop earrings

Art Nouveau design has always put a great amount of joy in my heart. So hopefully these art nouveau inspired leaf earrings will do the same to you.
These earrings are hand pierced (sawn out with a fine jewellers saw) then filed down to give them shape.
Then I hand set these natural Australian teal sapphires in solid 9ct rose/pink gold, the old fashioned way, with a handheld graver and finely tuned muscles and eyes.
These earrings measure 5.5mm across, the leaf is 12mm tall, they are nice and light.
I make many of these earrings but they are all different as I engrave each one by eye.
I love engraving with a graver, the process, the simplicity, the skill and the result. You just can’t get that bright sparkle and hand crafted feel with laser cut or cast or roll printing techniques.
