Ferrite Block Magnet - 52mm x 25mm x 12.7mm | Plastic Case with North South Marking

This ferrite block magnet is 52mm long, 25mm wide and 12.7mm high. This plastic encased ferrite magnet has a pull force of 1.5 kg. The plastic case is red on the South side and green on the North side. It is identified by the AMF magnet part number 12038. Uses for our ferrite block magnets:

These Ferrite Blocks are great for schools and educational programs. The coloured plastic case serves two purposes; It overcomes the hard and brittle nature of Ferrite magnets by protecting the Ferrite Block from cracking and chipping, while also demonstrating the axially magnetised North and South pole faces. It should be noted that coatings do create a gap between surfaces and the magnet inside which reduces the strength of the magnetic bond. The green surface indicates the North Pole location and red the South. These Ferrite magnets in a plastic casing are very robust and can withstand extreme and punishing environments where other magnets would fail.
