Angi Angi Scrub Bar

“Scrub-a-bar-bar" Ānuku brings you a unique Soap scrub bar using “The Lungs of the forest" Angi Angi, a 2-1 loofah soap.

A number of lichens and mossesm were collected by our tūpuna(ancestors) and were used as a soft covering for wounds to help stop bleeding. Angi Angi and hawa are names that may refer to several different kinds of lichens and mosses though they are found in the ngāhere amongst Tāne Mahuta(God of the forest) Angi Angi belongs to Tawhirimatea(God of the Winds).

When Angi Angi becomes wet, it becomes super absorbent soaking up as much water as it can. Making it feel similar to a sponge, we have incorporated it into a scrub bar to help aid exfoliation of the skin.
