Argus bite sticks are used for checking the sharpness of your knife by testing for “bite”. Simply place the cutting edge against the stick and try to move the blade to the left and right.

- If it slides to the left you need to steel the right side of the blade
- If it slides to the right you need to steel the left side of the blade
- If it slides in both directions you will need to sharpen the knife with a stone
