Rūaumoko Pounamu Sculpture – Emergence & Renewal
Carved by Jackson Ropata from marbled Kawakawa pounamu, this sculpture depicts Rūaumoko, Māori god of earthquakes, volcanoes, and seasons, emerging halfway from the stone. A gleaming pāua-shell eye evokes constant subterranean movement, while a hōanga stone from Horowhenua anchors the piece in Aotearoa’s restless land.
A symbol of resilience and renewal, it’s ideal for a desk, mantel, or as a gift for someone starting a new chapter. This taonga marks moments of growth, leadership milestones, and personal transformation, adding a commanding yet refined presence to any space.
