Hei Matau Koru Medium Large Pounamu Pendant, Black Binding

Carved from Kahurangi pounamu by Ross Crump, from Design in Stone. A one-off size medium/large Hei Matau Koru, its bright luminous green hues softened by clouding through the stone.

This design weaves together the Hei Matau and the Koru. The Hei Matau takes the form of the stylised fish hook, a guardian of the waters worn for protection, prosperity and the role of a provider, while the Koru's unfurling frond carries growth, harmony and new beginnings. Together they pair a bond with the sea with a fresh start.

Finished on an adjustable tan cord and presented in an eco-friendly box, accompanied by cards detailing its meaning and care, a truly cherished taonga.
