Kōuma Breastplate Hapopo Small Pounamu Pendant, Black Binding

 

Carved from Hapopo pounamu by Ironpan, a mother-and-son carving duo based on the West Coast. A one-off size small Kōuma breastplate, its light green tones carrying black flecks through the stone.

The Kōuma breastplate is worn over the chest for protection and wellbeing, a powerful symbol of both physical and symbolic protection. Worn over the torso, it reflects hauora (well-being), balance and harmony, representing personal armour and the nurturing of values for future generations.

Finished on an adjustable black cord and presented in an eco-friendly box, accompanied by cards detailing its meaning and care, a truly cherished taonga.
