Tangiwai Large Toki Pounamu Pendant
Carved from Tangiwai pounamu by Lee-Roy Mullings (Ngāti Kahungunu) in our Arrowtown workshop. A one-off large Toki in the traditional adze form, a pale, clouded face set against dark mossy green at the edges, the crown bound in a tan lashing.
Tangiwai comes from one place, Anita Bay, at the mouth of Milford Sound / Piopiotahi. The Toki is worn as a mark of strength and determination.
Supplied on an adjustable tan hand-plaited cord, presented in an eco-friendly box with a meaning and care card.
