Toki Kawakawa Small Pounamu Pendant, Black Binding
Carved from Kawakawa pounamu by Ironpan, a mother-and-son carving duo based on the West Coast. A one-off size small Toki, its warm green tones softened by white clouding through the stone.
The Toki takes the form of the traditional adze, worn as a mark of strength, determination and courage, carrying the mana of its wearer. Once an essential tool for Māori and traditionally worn by rangatira as a sign of power and wisdom, it endures as a symbol of resilience in the face of adversity.
Finished on an adjustable black cord and presented in an eco-friendly box, accompanied by cards detailing its meaning and care, a truly cherished taonga.
