Kawakawa Large Toki Pounamu Pendant
Carved from Kawakawa pounamu by Nikki and Peter, a mother and son known for their Toki form and notch work. A one-off large Toki in the traditional adze form, deep forest green, with three drilled rings and notches cut along one edge.
The Toki is worn as a mark of strength and determination. The notches are read as whakapapa, the passing of knowledge between generations.
