Wooden Colour Match Board | Educational Toddler Toy NZ | Axe & Co

Learning through play has never looked so good! The Axe & Wooden Colour Match Board is a versatile, hands-on educational tool designed to help your little ones explore and understand the world of colour.

Crafted from beautiful untreated timber, this sensory board features six brightly painted circular cut-outs. It acts as a blank canvas for open-ended play, encouraging toddlers and preschoolers to engage in activities that develop crucial early cognitive and fine motor skills.

Whether you are setting up a Montessori-inspired learning shelf or looking for a meaningful gift, this board is built to support your child’s growth. Endless Ways to Play & Learn

This isn't just a single-use toy; it's a foundation for early education. Your minis can use the Colour Match Board to:

Sort & Match: Gather items from around the house and match them to the corresponding coloured cut-outs.

Learn Te Reo Māori: Use the vibrant colours as a visual aid to practice identifying colours in Te Reo (e.g., Whero/Red, Kākāriki/Green, Kikorangi/Blue).

Counting Practice: Count the items as they are placed into each colourful recess, bridging colour recognition with early math skills.

Fine Motor Development: The act of picking up small objects and placing them precisely into the cut-outs helps refine the pincer grasp.
