White wood aster

Serrated heart-shaped leaves are topped with tall wiry stems that support Clouds of small flowers with yellow centers and white rays from late summer through autumn. Attractive to bees and butterflies. The seeds are popular with finches through the winter months. Light shade preferred.

Eurybia divaricata is found naturally in the dry open woods, woodland edges, and clearings of the Eastern parts of North America. It is an herbaceous perennial with narrow, serrated heart-shaped leaves. Tall wiry stems support Clouds of small flowers with yellow centers and white rays from late summer through autumn.
