Fragaria x ‘Lipstick’ is the result of a cross between Fragaria (strawberry) and Comarum (cinquefoil). It is mainly grown as an ornamental, but the fruits are edible and tasty. Flowers are a deep rose pink, on a mound of deep green leaves. Plants are hardy in sun or part shade as long as they have a little moisture. Flowering is better in the sun. Fragaria ‘Lipstick’ does not produce viable seed but will spread by runners like other strawberries.
