Sambucus canadensis ‘Aurea’ has gorgeous light green gold leaves and is best planted with some shade in hotter parts of the country. Tiny nectar rich creamy flowers are borne in large umbels during late spring and summer. The Flowers and berries can be used in the same way as the more common European elderberry.
