Scout Wines Lowburn Pinot Noir 2019

Scouts Lowburn Pinot Noir a Central Otago Pinot Noir from a vineyard high above the Lowburn subregion. A mix of 777 and 115 clone. The vineyard faces north and is planted on the typical schist and clay soils of the area.

Hand picked and wild fermented with 30% whole bunch. Plunged and pumped over on skins for 30 days. Aged in old barriques and a puncheon before bottling unfined and unfiltered in January 2020.

Shows a different side to Central Pinot - very perfumed nose, with violets and raspberry fruit. The palate has deep core of blue fruits before finishing with fine, silky tannin. Drinkability at its maximum
