The Reserve Te Awanga Chardonnay is a typical coastal chardy with citrus and stone-fruit aromas combined with a lovely biscotti and spice complexity, whilst being fleshy and textural with a little minerality on the palate. This treasure has a very promising long life of gathering complexity.

A classic example of Hawkes Bay Syrah with violets and lifted pepper spice on the nose. The palate is medium weight but with great concentration and depth of flavour. Plum, blueberry, cherry and earth all layer across soft supple tannin and a balanced acidity

Despite the wine being aged for 10 months in new and seasoned barrels and undergoing batonnage and partial MLF, this is all about the fruit expression from the cooler coastal site of Te Awanga.This is a premium offering from Rod McDonald and shows plenty of finesse through white and yellow stone-fruit on the palate further complexed by nuts and toasty oak.

Clearview Beach Head Chardonnay is a full-bodied, barrel fermented wine with power and mineral complexity. The nose displays ripe fruit notes and a distinct nuttiness.
