Small Gods / Throwing Hands - 5.2% 440ml Seefbier

Throwing Hands is a cloudy golden blonde beer with big body and a unique silky mouthfeel from the inclusion of buckwheat alongside a little spice character from the rye malt and Hallertau Mittelfruh hops.

Seefbier was once the beer of Antwerp until lagers and pilsners rendered it extinct. The art and name are rooted in the origin of Antwerp's name. Once upon a time, a giant named Druon Antigoon terrorised the area, demanding tolls from those crossing the river Scheldt. If they couldn't pay, he cut off their hands. A hero named Brabo defeated the giant, cut off his hand, and threw it into the river. The name "Antwerp" comes from "hand werpen," Dutch for "hand throwing."
