Milk thistle (Silybum marianum) is a flowering plant in the Asteraceae family that is native to Southern Europe & Asia and can be found throughout the world. The flowers are red-purple in colour and have a large conical shape. Milk Thistle has been used for thousands of years for its purported health benefits.

Milk thistle is loaded with antioxidants known as flavonoids such as isosilybin, silibinin, silybin, and silymarin. Milk thistle may help support liver function and may have natural anti-inflammatory properties.† It may also help fortify the bones.
