eSun eABS-CF (Carbon Fiber) Filament
eSun have made the shift to using cardboard spools. These cardboard spools will have the waxed edge designed to suit being used in the Bambu Labs AMS unit.
Adding carbon fiber reinforced materials to ABS and modifying, it strengthens the rigidity and toughness of ABS. eABS-CF has excellent impact resistance and chemical corrosion resistance.
Additionally, carbon fiber ABS has the characteristic of being lightweight, with low material density. Printed models are lighter than those made from general materials, making it suitable for the rapid manufacturing of drones, aircraft models, ship models, and more.
The application scenarios for carbon fiber ABS are very diverse, and it can also be used to make 3D printer accessories, tooling fixtures, engineering parts, and electronic and electrical accessories.
However, it is important to note that eABS-CF material has a high shrinkage rate. Printing should be done in a well-insulated, enclosed printer. It is recommended to maintain ventilation during the printing process, and if possible, use it in conjunction with an air filter.
Additionally, eABS-CF cools a bit less effectively. During printing, fans can be appropriately used to improve print quality. Reducing the overhang angles in the model and lowering the print speed can also optimize the print results to some extent.
Below are the relevant parameters obtained from multiple tests by eSUN for your reference. If you encounter any issues during the printing process, feel free to.

Please note: 1) The shrinkage rate of eABS-CF is large, so we advise to print this material in the printer of the closed chamber.
2) When printing ABS-CF, there are three suggestions to make the printing effect better: you can open a little fan to speed up cooling, or reduce the overhang angle structure of the model; Or try slow printing.
