The Six Wives of Henry VIII by Antonia Fraser

This text aims to show that the six wives of Henry VIII were not willing victims of Henry's obsession with a male heir, but instead were women of spirit and defiance. Each woman is dealt with in turn, with sympathy for having had the unenviable fate of being a wife of Henry VIII.
