Chateau Les Croisille Le Croizillon Cahors Malbec 2021
If you love the dense, fruit forward nature of Malbec, but don’t want the bucket of tannin that often comes along with it, then have a hoon on this. It’s a fresher expression of the variety known for it’s dark, inky colour. Cahors is a region to the south east of Bordeaux in France, and is historically the home of Malbec. Fruit for this wine is sourced from 3 estate vineyards and given a short period of carbonic maceration in stainless steel and concrete tanks.
Bernard and Cécile Croisille planted their vineyards in the early 1980s and have their 2 sons Germain and Simon running the estate with them today. They have attained both organic and biodynamic certification.
