Camille Amber Petal Glass Floor Lamp

Most floor lamps light a corner. Camille makes the corner worth looking at. A brushed gold pole rises to 173cm and bends forward to hold a shade of pressed amber glass, shaped like a lotus in bloom with scalloped petal edges. Switched off it reads as sculpture. Switched on, the whole flower glows.

Glass that does the glowing
The petals are honey amber pressed glass, and light moves through them in layers, catching the ridges and pooling in the curves. A white diffuser sits inside the bloom, keeping the bare bulb out of view, so what reaches the room is a warm, patterned glow. The shade spans about 24.5cm, and up close the pressed detail is what you notice first. From the couch, it is the lamp guests ask about.

The practical bits
The whole lamp stands 173cm tall on a footprint of about 40cm, so it slots beside a chair or console without a fuss. The stem and round base are brushed gold plated metal, and the base tucks in behind or beside furniture. Switching is a black foot switch on the cable, a toe tap on the way past. It takes a single E27 globe up to 60W, not included.

Sits best
Beside a reading chair, in a bedside corner, or next to a hallway console where guests will see it. At 173cm it fits under a standard 2.4m Kiwi ceiling with plenty of air above. Fit a warm white globe and the amber glass turns it into evening light, whatever the hour.
