Colthurst Northland is a 100% Northland Owned Family Business.

Owner Sam Colthurst has an extensive background in Residential, Commercial, and New Build flooring.

Sam has worked for Australia’s largest flooring retailer(Harvey Norman, New Zealand’s largest Tile retailer(Tile Warehouse) and worked directly for a New Zealand Carpet Manufacture as their National Sales Manager(Carpet Mill). This diverse background has let Sam work closely in commercial, new builds, residential, and product specifications at a high level.

In 2019, Sam decided it was time to give back to Northland and look after the locals directly and purchased the franchise Floorwise Northland. Floorwise Northland grew from 2 staff members to 32 very quickly with contractors and salespeople. In 2021 due to timing and opportunity, Sam Colthurst rebranded to Colthurst Flooring, where he could alter his brand to suit their customers and produce a more Northland Local feel/experience.
