Edge Master Professional Whetstone - 400/1000 Grit
Edge Master Whetstones are the ideal choice for beginners or professionals seeking an economical sharpening stone for use on knives and tools.
Use & Care Instructions:
Submerge the whetstone in water for approximately 5 mins, or until bubbles have stopped. This process must always be repeated before sharpening.
Place whetstone one a flat surface ensuring to use the non slip base provided. Always ensure to keep the stone wet while sharpening and do not remove powder build up as this helps sharpen the knife.
Choose one of the available grits, depending on the condition of your knife.
Course 400 Grit: use for knives that have damaged edges or extremely blunt
Medium: This is the main sharpening grit and used for re-sharpen and remove burrs.
Position the knife edge over the whetstone, maintaining an angle of 15-30 between the blade and the whetstones surface. Move the blade using a back and forth motion ensuring to keep even pressure on the blade.
Once a BURR is reached on the entire blades edge, change sides and repeat the process 4/5 times each side until the BURR is completely removed and the blade is razor sharp.
After use clean the surface of whetstone and leave to drying a well ventilated area.
