CHIHULY MASTERPIECES II Oyster
In a celebration of craftsmanship, renowned studio glass artist Dale Chihuly has collaborated with The Rug Company on a second collection entitled Masterpieces II. Inspired by Chihuly’s glass oeuvre, these four rugs challenge the notion of textile craft by capturing the fluidity, energy and translucency of glasswork through wool and silk.
Inspired by Chihuly’s layered glasswork in his Macchia series, Oyster presents jewel-toned silk hues atop a neutral Tibetan wool base. Hand-knotted by our craftspeople in Nepal, this design showcases organic markings against a ripple motif, reminiscent of an exposed shoreline. Technique: Handknotted Tibetan wool and silk. Knot count: 100 knot
Price band 11
Also available as runner and in round format.
