Extra Large Greenstone Tiki Pendant

This substantial thick greenstone necklace is a beautiful piece of Maori jewellery. Carved from genuine Nephrite Jade. Makes a wonderful Kiwiana gift or souvenir. This Māori necklace is strung on a braided traditional black wax cord. Paua shell eyes breathe life into this Tiki carving. The height that the pendant hangs at can be adjusted using the sliding knots. Each carving is supplied loose in a jewellery box. As each piece is individually carved slight variations can occur.

The Tiki represents the human form and one's ancestors. Traditionally passed from parent to child or used for protection and good luck.
