Purple & Pink Lobophyllia
Lobophyllia sp. – WYSIWYG (Approx. 6 cm)
This Lobophyllia sp. is a premium large-polyp stony coral known for its thick fleshy tissue, bold patterns, and vibrant colouration. Its deep ridges and strong contrasting tones make it an eye-catching centrepiece in any LPS or mixed reef aquarium. When fully inflated, this piece displays excellent polyp extension and a rich, full appearance.
This listing is WYSIWYG — the exact coral shown in the photos is the one you will receive. The specimen measures approximately 6 cm across when not expanded.
Care Instructions:
Lighting: Moderate lighting is ideal. Too much intensity can cause tissue recession.
Flow: Low to moderate, indirect flow helps keep the coral clean while preventing damage to its soft tissue.
Placement: Place on the sand bed or a flat, stable rock. Provide adequate space from aggressive neighbours.
Feeding: Benefits greatly from targeted feeding of mysis shrimp, LPS pellets, or other meaty foods.
Water Parameters: Maintain stable reef conditions (Alkalinity 8–9 dKH, Calcium 420–450 ppm, Magnesium 1300–1400 ppm, Nitrate 5–15 ppm, Phosphate 0.03–0.1 ppm).
Why This Coral Is a Great Choice:
Large, fleshy polyps with striking colouration.
A standout centrepiece for any LPS collection.
Responds well to feeding and stable tank conditions.
Hardy once settled and suitable for intermediate hobbyists.
