Starborough Family Estate Pinot Gris 2024 (6x750ml)
Starborough must now be considered one of our finest pinot gris producers and this is a sublime, off-dry expression that delivers a textbook example of this enticing varietal. Every year this release seems to get better and better and the 2024 is in banging form with layer after layer of tangy pear and ripe stone fruit flavours. Very highly recommended.
Tasting note:
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit: "Charming and inviting, the bouquet shows apricot, fig, Nashi pear and floral aromas, leading to a succulent palate offering supple texture and juicy acidity, finishing lingering and delectable. At its best: now to 2027."
Stephen Wong MW: "An off-dry pinot gris with subtle sweet spice, ripe pear and mid-weight tropical mango flavours which flow across the smooth, light-bodied palate before turning slightly sweet on the long, flavoursome finish. Charming and delectable wine for enjoying right now."
Candice Chow: "Poised and dry with elegantly expressive aromatics and concentration; silky, fine-textured phenolic and floral details lift the presence along a lively acid line."
