Glenrothes 2004 Bot. 2017 700ml

A 2004 vintage Glenrothes, distilled in March and left in sherry-seasoned oak until January 2017, when the single malt was bottled at 43% ABV. The sherry casks add a wonderful sweetness to the Speysider, with a hint of subtle smokiness in there too.

Nose: Mango ice cream, with honeyed citrus peel, berry jam and boozy Christmas cake.

Palate: Creamy and silky, with more tropical fruit alongside citrus curd, oaky, earthy vanilla pod and a savoury herbaceous note.

Finish: Baking spice and dusty cocoa, with smoked nuts.
