SSI ENRICHED AIR NITROX Scuba Diver Specialty Diving Course

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

You will also find that you will start to explore sites not normally dived by others. Reef systems in the 20-30m range would have great benefits on diving on enriched air Nitrox.

This is NOT a technical deep diving gas! Simply put, it reduces the amount of nitrogen (replaced by O2 ) in your breathing mix. This makes your body think that you are diving to a shallower depth, thus being able to spend longer underwater safely.

THAT'S IT A MUST DO course! You will cover:

- Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of Enriched Air diving
- The preparation, calibration and use of oxygen analyzers
- Oxygen management

Typical Course Outline
- A short Online Learning module
- A classroom theory session, exam, and explanation of the Enriched Air Nitrox processes. These are typically done in the evenings from 6pm
- Two dives using (these can be done at any time on your own or combined with one of our popular dive trips)
