How its Run

Once Payment is received you will receive the online theory. This will need to be completed before your Pool session. SSI has mastered the use of digital technology to make the learning experience easy for all!

You will then come along to one of our pool sessions that we run on Sundays at Otahuhu Pool Complex from 12:30 -5:30 pm. Here you will learn in a controlled environment all the necessary skills you will need to become a great diver!

Once comfortable and ready to go to the open water we will head out to Goat Island Marine reserve to complete your Open Water dives. Here you will apply your knowledge in a real-world environment alongside your instructor. You will need two weekend mornings to complete your Open water dives (2 dives a day) scheduled either Saturdays or Sundays at the students request. You will receive weekly texts from us about upcoming dives or see our calendar online.

Once you have completed all required training sessions, final exam and open water training dives, We will issue your digital certification card which will show up instantly on your MySSI App.
