Sophia Oval Plate

Meticulously crafted from a unique blend of stoneware and porcelain, the hand-thrown Sophia Serving Bowl is made in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland by Kirsten Dryburgh in her Grey Lynn studio.

Part of the Sophia range, a collection of high-fired stoneware, each piece is formed from Dryburgh’s own Australasian clay blend and finished with a warm, buttery yellow glaze infused with iron flecks, creating a characterful and distinct speckled surface.

Each receive an additional kiln firing to preserve the real gold lustre detailing around the lip of the plate, giving it an antique luxury feel.

Please note: due to the handmade nature of this piece, slight variations in size and finish are to be expected. Do not place this item in the microwave or dishwasher to preserve the integrity and detailing of the plate.
