Paper Lantern Decoration // Green

A paper decoration made from woven Hyacinth paper with cotton string. Both the paper and the decoration itself is made by women artisans at a fair trade workshop in Bangladesh. Hyacinth is a water flower which grows profusely, clogging waterways and becoming a nuisance to village infrastructure. The flowers are harvested and made into paper for crafts and stationery.
