Kello Raro is a washed coffee from the Guji Zone in Ethiopia’s Oromia Region, grown at altitudes between 1,900 and 2,250 metres above sea level. The coffee is processed at the Kello Raro Station, which works with around 230 local farmers who cultivate small plots of land using traditional methods passed down through generations. Thanks to the region’s high altitude, fertile soil, and ideal climate, this coffee is vibrant and expressive, showcasing the distinctive character Guji is famous for.

In the cup, expect bright and clean notes of mandarin and lemongrass supported by soft floral aromatics like rose and jasmine. The washed process brings clarity and elegance to the flavour profile, allowing its delicate complexity to shine through. Kello Raro is a beautiful example of Ethiopian coffee at its most refined - light, floral, and bursting with clarity, perfect for filter brewing.

To get the most balanced cup out of this coffee, we recommend brewing this one at a lower water temperature such as 90°C. See our brew guide for more detailed instructions.
