Plump Off Hat & Cowl set - EBEforever designs - PRINTED PATTERN

A delightfully squishy hat that is quick to make and fun to wear. If you have extra yarn you could also top it off with a pompom!

Yarn required

Beanie: 1 skein Spincycle Plump (Bulky Weight/ 12 ply) (91m/100g per skein)

All other versions: 2 skeins Spincycle Plump

You could substitute any bulky/chunky weight yarn with same gauge.

Needles

4.5mm needle (for tubular Cast On)

5mm needle

Gauge

Ribbed Gauge: 22st x 21 Rows, unstretched, = 10cm (4 inches) on 5mm needles.

Stockinette Gauge: 14 stitches/ 24 rows = 10cm (4 inches) in stockinette on 5mm Needles.
Plump Off Cowl

This is a simple cowl with a drawstring top. The purpose was to maximise the use of two skeins of Plump from Spincycle Yarns and also to create a satisfying final cowl that stands up.

2 Skeins Spincycle Plump (Bulky Weight/ 12 ply) (91m/100g per skein).

Sizes

Approx 24cm x 30cm (close fitting)

Approx 26.5 x 33cm (loose fitting)

Needles

5mm needles for a close fitting cowl and for iCord
6mm Needles for a loose fitting cowl (use 5mm for iCord still)

Gauge

14 stitches/ 24 rows = 10cm (4 inches) on 5mm Needles.

12 stitches/ 22 rows = 10cm (4 inches) on 6mm Needles
