Bio Leaf HortiChar (All Grades)

HortiChar stands for Horticultural Charcoal, which is a super beneficial additive for your current house plant soil mix.

It is made from natural hardwood tree branches that have been heated in a low oxygen environment to create what is called biochar. What are the benefits of HortiChar?

- It's very porous/fine grained, which helps to serve as a home for micro-organisms which are beneficial for the overall health of your plants.
- HortiChar is naturally anti-microbial, acting like 'natures filter' helping to get rid of any nasty toxins or other nasties from your house plant mix.
- It increases aeration of your soil whilst retaining valuable moisture. This helps prevent other issues such as root rot.
- HortiChar improves nutrient availability and stability. How much HortiChar do you need?

- HortiChar Fine: add up to 5% of your total soil volume.
- HortiChar Coarse: add between 10% - 20% of your total soil volume. Please note
