When leather absorbs water, tanning agents and lubricants are lost causing it to become dry, stiff and prone to splitting and you need your footwear to be soft, flexible and breathable to be comfortable.

Regularly applying WaterBased Nikwax Conditoner for Leather prolongs the life and performance of your smooth leather footwear by restoring suppleness and adding durable water water repellency (DWR) while maintaining breathability.

You can also use this conditioner on new footwear to help break them in without over-softening. Use on wet or dry leather.
