LC04 Tessa Hat

A simple hat with a giant knitted flower to make it truly special.

The hat pattern has two versions, knitted flat on straight needles or in the round on double pointed needles.

Gauge

22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm 4 ins over stst on 4 mm 6 US needles.

Finished size

48 cm 19.25 ins - fits 2-10 years

You will need

Recommended yarn - 8ply Merino

MC – Vanilla 1 50gm ball

C1 – Pink small amount

C2 – Pale Pink small amount

C3 – Cream small amount

One pair each size 3.25 mm 3 US and 4 mm 6 US knitting needles or one set each size 3.25 mm 3 US and 4 mm 6 US double pointed needles.

When substituting yarn, compare the tension gauge of the pattern and the yarn. Working a tension square to determine the suitability of the yarn as a substitute is recommended - to compare the tension for sizing but also to test whether it creates the fabric you are after.
To determine the quantity of substitute yarn needed, compare the total meterage needed in the pattern to the meterage on the substitute.
