2020 A2 Pinot Noir

Earthy, fragrant, and spicy with deep red cherry and some complicating humitic mushroom notes. A hint of mineral dust with underlying dark plum and macerated strawberry. Good perfume. Some subtle floral depth completes the intriguing presentation.

Balance and purity immediately impress as they follow the lovely juicy yet silky entry. Red cherries and a touch of plum fill out the fruit profile with some more spice, even a little clove, playing a well-considered supporting role. Fabulously juicy acid line and super fine-grained tannins really satisfy. Sliced citrus at the end with more minerality. Generous, approachable, and very moreish.

Cellaring - this blend has been made ready to drink on release, but we increasingly find that a few years hidden away benefits the expected evolution - 5 to 7 years should be no problem.

Food – The plum and spice notes lead us once again to Donald & Daisy Duck.
