2022 A2 Pinot Noir

On the nose there is this lovely, hospitable open sensation with lifted wild strawberry growing amongst woody herbs. The fruit is very pretty and beautifully perfumed, deep set but subtle strawberry and Rainier cherry with a whiff of earthy bouquet garni and clean wet rocks. A very satisfying smell of the vineyard pervades this cuvee. Our classic background wild florals appear as usual which add some, largely unintended, complexity – vine age we guess.

Plush and soft, very generous texture with an underlying depth of fruit. Generous red cherry fruits with some floral musk and rosewater. Luscious and very succulent. Long and soft with a mineral freshness through to the finish.

Fine boned tannin texture, great drinkability. This is the way we want our A2 to always be - fresh, succulent, generous and approachable.

Food - rabbit rillettes and crusty baguette, with a generous lashing of the best butter.
