SLS is an aggressive cleanser that creates dense lather and removes oils efficiently - but it doesn't discriminate between the oils you want to remove and the ones your scalp needs to stay healthy. Stripping the scalp's natural lipid barrier repeatedly is a primary driver of dryness, irritation, and worsening scalp conditions. MooGoo uses five natural coconut and glucose-derived cleansers instead - Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Lauryl Glucoside, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, and Coco Glucoside with Glyceryl Oleate - which clean effectively without the harsh side effects.
