Kowhai Pod Drop Earrings – Bronze & Sterling Silver

Nature captured in bronze.

These earrings are a bronze cast of a Kowhai seed pod from a friend’s garden in Christchurch, where the pods grow larger than those on my Mt Eden tree. I was drawn to the way these seeds resemble substantial beads, their surface marked with beautiful natural textures.

In bronze, they take on a rich golden glow, echoing the colour of kowhai pods as they dry on the tree. Finished with sterling silver hooks, the result is a pair of elegant, handcrafted earrings that balance warmth, heritage, and everyday wearability.
