Kōwhai Pod Bronze Bangle

This bangle began with real kōwhai pods — small doubles and triples, gathered and moulded in precious metal clay. Each one was cast, refined, then carefully soldered into a circle. Not a direct replica of nature, but a quiet reimagining of it.

Once the form was right, it was cast in warm bronze — a metal that echoes the soft golden tones of kōwhai in bloom and deepens beautifully with wear. The finished piece is tactile, grounded, and gently sculptural. Designed to sit comfortably on your wrist and grow more beautiful with time.

Kōwhai are iconic to Aotearoa — not just as a native tree, but as a shared marker of home. Their twisting pods and yellow blooms are stitched into our collective memory. This bangle holds that reference lightly, transforming a familiar form into something wearable, personal, and enduring.

Finished with a soft polish, the bronze will slowly darken into a rich patina that reflects your own days and movement. It’s a piece to wear daily, layer freely, and hold close.
