The origin of Oushak rugs is Anatolia. They are recognizable for their angular large-scale floral designs, and this rug is no exception. Large floral patterns are placed on a soft green grass field, framed by a wide floral 'palmette' border with two foliate guards. The contemporary choice of colors—shades of green, blues, and yellow—produces a very spring-like appearance. The construction is wool on a cotton foundation.
