Support Sanctuary Cows

At any given time we have around 30 cows in our care and back in 2020 we helped rescue, provide vet car for and re-home over 200 in one of our biggest ever large scale rescue operations. We are so grateful to our HUHA community for supporting special sanctuary animals like our not so little family of blind cows. We’re able to offer these sweet creatures a safe and enriching environment where they can live out their days together.
A wee, 2 week old, blind calf came into our care after being surrendered to HUHA by her sympathetic farmer. She has grown into a curious and lovely cow who is so confident we’ve called her Dora the explorer, she copes incredibly well with her vision loss. Tofu is Doras best friend and he too is blind. His farmer was also compassionate and determined that his little blind calf deserved a chance so we made the eight hour round trip to bring Tofu into our care. Our lovely little family are never lost or alone as they have each other.

When you sign up for ongoing support of the animals in our care you will receive a set of postcards of them as a symbol of our appreciation. Supporters who subscribe will also receive a biannual newsletter update from our rural animal department and you will be invited to our very special annual supporters day so you can to meet some of our sanctuary animals.
