WORLDman - Kierkegaard Coat

One of New Zealand's most iconic fashion houses, WORLD was established in 1989, by Francis Hooper and Dame Denise L’Estrange-Corbet. Known for their bold avant-garde designs and prints, the brand has remained fiercely independent and committed to "doing things their own way". All pieces are hand-made in New Zealand!

This beautiful coat is from their 2016 winter collection. Some background for why WORLD may have named their jacket: Kierkegaard is a Danish surname, literally meaning 'church farm' or 'church yard' and colloquially meaning 'graveyard'. Søren Aabye Kierkegaard was a Danish theologian, philosopher, poet, social critic, and religious author who is widely considered to be the first existentialist philosopher.

This coat is a classic overcoat style with a vibrant yellow lining.
