Levi's Vintage Clothing - 1954 501Z Selvedge Jeans

Levi's Vintage Clothing (LVC) is a sub-label of the iconic denim brand. LVC collections are faithful reproductions of Levi's products from bygone eras. From the leather jacket worn by Einstein to buckle-back jeans worn by gold miners in the 1800s, LVC garments are a denim collector's holy grail.

The pair we have here is a "stitch-for-stitch" reproduction of 501s made in 1954, featuring a zip fly for the first and only time. The brand made them to appeal to customers who didn't care for a button fly but ultimately realised that there wasn't enough demand; in fact, people thought they were fakes, so entrenched in their minds was the idea that 501s must have a button fly to be genuine.
Here are some of the beautiful details:

- Selvedge denim with authentic "fade and distressed" details
- Skinny redline selvedge ID
- Concealed back-pocket rivets
- Single-sided "big E" red tab
- XX leather back patch
- Zip fly
