Scout Scarf - Bold Dot Print

Inspired by traditional Scout 'neckers', this scarf is a classic triangle style with a contrasting trim. In keeping with Universal Works playful approach to fabrics, a bold polka-dot fabric is used on this accessory.

The scout neckerchief originated from Lord Baden-Powell's first experimental camp in 1907, where a triangular scarf was used as a practical item for sun protection, a bandage, and a way to identify troops. It became an official part of the scout uniform with the publication of "Scouting for Boys" in 1908 and evolved from a practical tool into a significant symbol of loyalty, commitment, and belonging within the movement.
